2024 General Election

This is turning out to be a an interesting election. I was a little worried before when it was Joe vs Don, but now that Kamala has taken the reins I'm liking this more and more. I think Joe is a good president, but he has a lot of baggage and he actually owns up to things he's done. I think Kamala will also be a good president, using her experience as a prosecutor and a senator she'll be able to get things done in ways that actually help people.

Well that sucked.

Some of those attack ads are getting good, I think I've legitimately laughed at a few of them. I'll probably be early voting soon, I usually wait until a little before the election in case if anything changes at the last minutes.

All the attack ads are out in force as we get closer to the date, and they are interesting in how they try to blow tiny things out in to major anchors for their opponents. Harris Walz continue to be generic Democrats and Trump Vance continue to lie constantly.

I really don't understand how there are undecided voters. I think you have to be actively avoiding news and information for the past 10 years. I mean it's a standard Democrat and a far right demagogue. I have some disagreements with the Democratic party, but they are completely overcome by my disagreements with the Republican party. The Republicans didn't even bother to make a platform, so that Trump can just come up with whatever he wants to riff with, and whoever tells him something with enough toadying.

While, I wish that was a little more substance in Kamala Harris' campaign, I think she's running the campaign that needs to be run right now. Donald Trump continues to lie and complain likes he's the victim in chief, and I'm pretty sure he's done anything of substance in his life. Both of their running mates were well picked Tim Walz because I think he actually cares about the job he's doing and JD Vance because I hate him. Since I lived in Washington I've always voted absentee, but I usually wait till a little closer to the election to cast my ballot. I don't think the presidential ticket will change, there might be some down ballot elections I should keep an eye on.
